I was completely mesmerized as soon as I arrived at Oedo. The scenery that unfolded before my eyes was so beautiful that it felt like I had entered a fairy tale world. This place is a garden that a couple has been nurturing with dedication for over 40 years. You can feel their sincerity in the beautiful flowers and trees, harmoniously blending with the emerald sea. Especially in spring, it's absolute heaven with tulips, daffodils, and cherry blossoms in full bloom!
As you stroll through the garden, there are photo zones everywhere, perfect for capturing those Instagram-worthy shots. I was busy taking pictures here and there too. You can freely take beautiful photos that you'd definitely want to post on social media. And just walking around with all this scenery as a backdrop feels so healing.
Hidden Charm, Oedo's Coastal Trekking Course
The charm of Oedo isn't just in its garden. The trekking course along the coast is really amazing too. Walking along the course, feeling the cool sea breeze and looking at the blue sea is simply the best. From the observatories scattered around, you can take in the beautiful scenery of Geoje Island at a glance.
The 'Island of Love' I encountered while trekking was so romantic. It's a small heart-shaped island, and there's a legend that if couples make a wish here, it comes true. I made a wish too, but what it was is a secret! And spending time looking at the sea while having a coffee at a café by the coast was really nice too.
Different Charms Every Season, Enjoying Oedo All Year Round
The charm of Oedo changes with each season. In spring, there's a festival of colorful flowers, and in summer, the cool sea harmonizes with lush green trees. When autumn comes, the garden shows off a different charm with its autumn foliage, and in winter, you can enjoy leisure in a quiet and calm atmosphere.
Especially, don't miss the 'Oedo Daffodil Festival' in spring! It's truly fantastic when yellow daffodils cover the entire island. I heard there's also an outdoor concert with the cool sea as a backdrop in summer, so I'm thinking of coming again.
