Hidden Urban Oasis: A Healing Date at Hwangsan Park in Yangsan

Today, I'd like to introduce you to Hwangsan Park in Yangsan, which I recently visited. I was really surprised to find such a quiet and beautiful park right in the middle of the city!

Nature-filled Walking Trails: Hwangsan Circular Path

Let me start by introducing the Hwangsan Circular Path. As soon as I arrived at the park, I was struck by the lush trees and well-maintained walking trails. Walking along the Hwangsan Circular Path, I could enjoy nature right in the heart of the city. The path wasn't too challenging, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll. There were benches along the way, great for taking breaks. I heard that the cherry blossoms in spring and the autumn foliage are particularly beautiful, so I definitely want to come back to see those! As I walked along the path, I experienced so much. The sounds of birds, the wind, and my own footsteps... these sounds that are hard to hear in the city tickled my ears. The variety of trees planted along the path was also impressive. Pine trees, maple trees, cherry trees - watching these trees that show different charms each season, I lost track of time. There were also observation decks along the way, offering panoramic views of Yangsan city. The sight of the city coexisting with nature was really beautiful. The photos I took from the observation deck are perfect for Instagram! I also noticed exercise equipment installed at various points along the path. It was nice to be able to do some light exercises while walking. Maybe because it was a nice day, there were quite a few people out for a walk. But the path was wide enough that it never felt crowded. In fact, exchanging light nods with other walkers made me feel even better. Next time, I'd love to come with friends to chat and take photos together.

Various Play Facilities for Children

As I was walking along the path, I heard the laughter of children. Following the sound, I came across an area with various play facilities. There were basic playground equipment like slides, swings, and seesaws, as well as trendy adventure playgrounds. Seeing the children playing happily made me feel cheerful too. There were plenty of benches nearby, which seemed great for parents to watch their children. I think my nephew would love it if I brought him here! The playground was divided into three main areas. One for toddlers, one for elementary school children, and one for all ages. The toddler area had low slides and small swings made of safe materials, perfect for very young children to play safely. The area for elementary school children had a wide variety of equipment. What impressed me most was the spider web-shaped climbing structure. It was cute to see the children climbing up and down, having fun. Next to it was a merry-go-round swing, with children lining up to wait for their turn. The all-ages area had a large grass field along with basketball hoops and badminton courts, perfect for families to enjoy sports together. In fact, many families were having a great time passing balls or playing badminton. Around the playground, there were many pergolas and benches installed, allowing parents to comfortably rest while watching their children. There were also drinking fountains and restrooms nearby, which was convenient. Seeing these play facilities reminded me of my childhood. I couldn't resist sitting on a swing and swinging a little, and it was still fun! I think it's good for adults to sometimes go back to their childhood and play like this.

Urban Picnic: Relaxing Time at the Grass Square

Urban Picnic: Relaxing Time at the Grass Square And what I liked most was the grass square. The green lawn was so beautiful that I found myself staring at it for a while. I thought it would be perfect for a picnic if you just brought a mat. In fact, I saw many people gathered in small groups, eating packed lunches. Next time I come, I'll definitely prepare something delicious to bring. With trees surrounding the lawn, it felt like being in a forest. It was convenient that there were well-equipped restrooms and drinking fountains throughout the park. The parking lot is also spacious, so it seems good for coming by car. However, it might get a bit crowded on weekends, so coming on a weekday might be a good idea too. I really enjoyed the time I spent at Hwangsan Park. It's great to be able to experience nature like this in the middle of the city. It's perfect for a short walk when you're feeling stressed, or for a weekend picnic with family. I hope you all get a chance to visit too! Oh, and here's a tip for when you visit the park. There were quite a few mosquitoes. If you come in summer, make sure to bring insect repellent! And if you come on a nice day, you'll be able to enjoy it even more.
