Enjoying Breathtaking Views from the Songdo Cable Car in Busan!

Hello everyone! Today, I'm excited to share my experience riding the Songdo Cable Car in Busan. My friends and I discovered this place by chance during our Busan trip, and it was absolutely amazing! Let me start by describing how it felt when we first arrived at the Songdo Cable Car station. Wow, the line was incredibly long! Being a weekend, there were so many people. But while waiting, we enjoyed the surrounding scenery and didn't even notice the time passing. The cool sea breeze and the beautiful view of Songdo Beach in the distance were simply gorgeous.

Boarding the Cable Car

As soon as we boarded the cable car, my heart started racing. We chose the crystal cabin with a transparent floor, which was a bit scary at first, but I quickly got used to it. As the cable car started moving and ascending higher, a truly spectacular view unfolded before us. The entire panorama of Busan came into view. The harmonious blend of sea, islands, and cityscape was absolutely fantastic. Especially when passing over the sea, it felt like we were flying through the sky. The transparent floor allowed us to see the waves rippling directly beneath us, which was both thrilling and slightly dizzying. The cable car ride covers a total distance of 1.62 km and takes about 10 minutes one way. However, I recommend taking a round trip as I did. The scenery looks different on the way back, making it worth riding twice! The weather on the day we went was perfect. The blue sky with scattered white clouds made it look like a scene from a fairy tale. The color of the sea was so beautiful that I couldn't stop admiring it. The sight of the cable car passing over the emerald sea was truly spectacular. Inside the cable car, you can feel a cool breeze. Although the windows can't be opened, the air conditioning works well, keeping it comfortable. There's also an audio guide that explains the surrounding landscape, making the experience even more interesting. The most impressive sights were Songdo Beach and Amnam Park. Looking down from above, they were breathtakingly beautiful. The long coastline of Songdo Beach and the lush forest of Amnam Park created a stunning harmony. The tall buildings of downtown Busan visible in the distance were also impressive. When the cable car reached the midpoint, it suddenly swayed a little. My friends and I screamed and laughed together, which was initially scary but quickly became a fun memory. As we were about to disembark, I felt a bit sad that it was ending. I couldn't believe how quickly those 10 minutes had passed. So we immediately got back in line and rode it again. During the second ride, we were able to appreciate the scenery more leisurely.

Perfect Spots for Amazing Photos

The best part of riding the cable car was definitely taking photos! It's a place where you can capture truly memorable pictures. I went with my friends, and we had fun taking photos of each other. If you ride during sunset, you can get even more stunning photos with the beautiful twilight sky. Inside the cable car, you can move around freely to take photos from various angles. However, be careful not to move too much as it could be unsafe if the car sways. Also, since the windows can't be opened, you need to be mindful of reflections on the glass. Here's a pro tip: if you put your camera right up against the glass, you can get clear shots without reflections! My favorite photo is the one I took while we were right above the sea. When the cable car was passing over the middle of the ocean, it felt like we were floating between the sky and the sea. The group photos with my friends also turned out great. Everyone's bright smiles blended perfectly with the cable car scenery. We also took full advantage of the crystal cabin's transparent floor to take unique floor shots. I took a photo of my feet with the sea visible below, and this picture was the most popular on Instagram. It was such a unique and fun shot! Riding during sunset offered a different charm. The sky and sea tinged with red created a truly romantic atmosphere. My favorite photo is a silhouette shot taken at this time. With the sunset visible through the window as a backdrop for my profile, it looked like a scene from a movie. There are some things to be careful of when taking photos. As I mentioned earlier, watch out for reflections on the glass. Also, when the cable car sways, it's better to wait until it stabilizes before taking a picture. This way, you can get clear, shake-free photos. Another tip is to use panorama mode. The view from the cable car is so wide that it's hard to capture it all in a regular photo. With panorama mode, you can capture Busan's amazing skyline in one shot. Lastly, don't forget to take photos before boarding and after disembarking. Photos at the boarding area or with the cable car in the background after getting off are also great. We even took some jump shots in front of the cable car, which became fun memories.

Enjoying Nearby Attractions

It would be a shame to only ride the Songdo Cable Car and leave, so I recommend exploring the surrounding attractions too. Songdo Beach is nearby. You can enjoy swimming in summer, and it's great for walks in other seasons. After riding the cable car, I walked along the beach, and it was so refreshing to feel the cool sea breeze. Also, don't miss the Songdo Cloud Walk! It's a place where you can feel like you're walking on the sea. You can look up at the scenery you saw from the cable car. If you go around sunset, you can enjoy a romantic atmosphere with the beautiful sunset view. Lastly, I recommend Songdo Ocean Park. You can experience various marine sports here. Although I didn't have the courage to try them myself, it was fun just watching people enjoy activities like flyboarding and jet skiing. The Songdo Cable Car in Busan is truly a must-visit attraction! The views are incredible, and it's a great place to have fun with friends. There's so much to see and do in the area that you can easily spend a whole day without realizing how time flies. If you're visiting Busan, make sure to stop by here. I especially recommend it to those who want to take beautiful photos for Instagram! I want to go again next time. I'd love to try riding it at night. I'm so curious about how Busan's night view would look from up there. I hope your Busan trip will also be filled with happy and memorable experiences!
