The Amethyst Cave Kingdom is located in Ulju-gun, Ulsan. Although it's a bit far from the city center, finding it wasn't too difficult. You can easily get there by following your GPS. The parking lot is spacious, making it convenient to park.
The entrance fee is 15,000 won (about $13) for adults. At first, I thought it was a bit expensive, but once I went inside, I realized it was totally worth it! As soon as you purchase your ticket at the entrance and go in, a mysterious world unfolds before your eyes.

Fantastic Purple Cave Scenery
As soon as I entered the cave, I was awestruck. Amethysts are embedded in the ceiling and walls everywhere, creating a truly fantastic atmosphere when combined with the lighting. The purple lights illuminating the amethysts made them shine even more beautifully.
The interior of the cave was like looking at a constellation. The sparkling of large and small amethysts was really impressive. As I walked along the cave path, I kept exclaiming in wonder. I kept saying "Wow, so pretty!" out loud, and the couple next to me looked at me with a smile. I felt a bit embarrassed, but I guess that just shows how beautiful it was!
There are several themed zones in the cave. Each area gives a different feeling, but my favorite was the 'Lovers' Path'. This section is full of heart-shaped amethysts, and couples were busy taking photos. Even though I went alone, I made sure to get some great shots! They're perfect for Instagram!
The 'Secret Garden' zone was also really nice. This area gives the impression that amethysts are spread across the cave floor. The purple hue visible under my feet was so pretty that I kept looking down. It felt like I was in a fairy's secret garden.
In the 'Crystal Waterfall' zone, there's a small waterfall with real water flowing alongside the amethysts. Listening to the sound of water while looking at the sparkling amethysts made me feel so relaxed. I sat down here for a while, and it was truly healing.
Throughout the cave, there were explanations about the characteristics and history of amethysts, so I could learn while exploring. When I read that amethysts help relieve stress, I thought I really made the right choice coming here.
Interactive Experiences and Photo Zones
Another charm of the Amethyst Cave Kingdom is the various experience corners. The most fun was the 'Garden of Light'. You can draw whatever you want on a touch screen, and it's instantly projected onto the cave wall. Seeing the flower petals I drew blooming all over the cave wall was so amazing and fun!
I lost track of time in this experience zone. I started by drawing flowers, then butterflies, and then stars. Every time the entire cave was filled with my drawings, I felt like I was the main character of the cave. Seeing other visitors enjoying themselves made me feel even happier.
There was also a place called the 'Wishing Room', where you could write your wish on a touch screen, and it would float up to the ceiling like a twinkling star. I wrote "Live happily!", and seeing those words become a twinkling star made me feel like my wish might come true.
There are also many photo zones. Especially in the 'Fairy Forest' zone, you can take pictures with large butterfly sculptures. It felt like I had become a fairy, which I loved. If you enjoy taking photos, you'll lose track of time here.
In the 'Crystal Palace' zone, you can take photos in front of a huge amethyst crown model. The photos I took here made me feel like a princess in a fairy tale. When I showed the pictures to my friends, they were all envious.
There was also a place called the 'Tunnel of Light', which is a tunnel made of LED lights. As you walk through, the colors keep changing. If you take a video and make it into a time-lapse, it turns out really beautiful. When I posted it on my Instagram story, the response was amazing.
Finally, in the 'Future City' zone, they've created a scene of a future city that could appear in a sci-fi movie, combined with amethysts. The photos I took here made me feel like I had come from the future, which was really unique.
Thanks to these various experiences and photo zones, even though I spent 3 hours in the cave, I wasn't bored at all. In fact, I felt like I didn't have enough time. I thought I should come back next time with more time to spare.
Healing Café and Souvenir Shop
As soon as you finish the cave tour, there's a café right there. It's called 'Crystal Café', and it's decorated with an amethyst theme, creating a really nice atmosphere. I ordered an amethyst latte, which was a purple drink with edible glitter - perfect for Instagram! It tasted good too!
The interior of the café is really beautiful. There are crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, and each table is decorated with small pieces of amethyst. When I sat by the window, the view outside was so pretty that it was healing in itself.
The menu is diverse too. Besides the amethyst latte I had, there were unique menu items like crystal ade, purple cheesecake, and amethyst macarons. I especially recommend the purple cheesecake - it's delicious and looks beautiful!
While I was resting in the café, I noticed people at the next table filming a vlog. I thought, "This place must be popular on social media." I also took lots of photos of my drinks and desserts and posted them on Instagram - the likes kept coming in!
Don't miss the souvenir shop either. They have a wide variety of items, from amethyst accessories to decorations. I bought a small raw amethyst, and when I put it on my desk at home, it gives me a healing feeling.
There was so much to see in the souvenir shop. From amethyst necklaces, earrings, and rings to amethyst lamps, mood lights, and coasters - the variety was really impressive. The prices ranged widely too, so I could browse without feeling pressured.
My favorite item was the amethyst dreamcatcher. The combination of purple feathers and amethysts was so pretty that I bought it to hang beside my bed. I think it'll make me feel good when I look at it before going to sleep.
Another fun thing was the 'Make Your Own Amethyst' corner. You can choose small raw amethysts to make into a necklace or bracelet. I made a one-of-a-kind amethyst bracelet according to my taste. It took some time, but it was really fun!
In one corner of the souvenir shop, there were explanations about the benefits of amethyst. It said they help relieve stress, improve insomnia, enhance concentration, and have various other effects. Maybe that's why I saw many people buying small raw amethysts.
I lost track of time in the café and souvenir shop too. Before I knew it, an hour had passed while I was looking around. As I was leaving, I thought, 'Next time, I should spend more time here.'
When you visit the Amethyst Cave Kingdom, make sure to stop by the café and souvenir shop too. It's a great way to enjoy the afterglow of your cave tour while picking out pretty souvenirs - two birds with one stone! Especially, the time spent looking at the scenery outside while having an amethyst latte will be really special. I'd highly recommend visiting for anyone who needs some healing time.
