Suan Village
Hello! I’m a woman in my 20s living in Gimhae. This past weekend, I visited the Suan Village Hydrangea Festival in Gimhae with my friends. I really love hydrangeas, so I was eager to check out this festival. Suan Village is about a 30-minute drive from downtown Gimhae. The parking lot is quite spacious, so you don't need to worry about parking. The entrance fee is 3,000 KRW for adults, and the operating hours are from 9 AM to 6 PM. Since it gets pretty crowded during the festival, I recommend going as early as possible. As soon as I reached the entrance, the fragrance of hydrangeas was so refreshing and exciting. The entire area was filled with beautiful hydrangeas in various colors, making every view picturesque. The village is located at 123 Suan-ri, Jinyeong-eup, Gimhae-si, and you can easily find it by entering "Suan Village" into your GPS. For parking, use the lot at the village entrance, which usually has plenty of space since it’s a quiet village most of the time.

Suan Interior
The first thing that greeted us as we entered the festival was an overwhelming sea of hydrangeas. The colorful hydrangeas in full bloom created a perfect backdrop for photos. I visited on the weekend, and although there were quite a few people, the area was spacious enough that it didn’t feel too crowded. There are restrooms conveniently located at the entrance and in the central area. One of the festival's main attractions is the "Hydrangea Tunnel," a tunnel decorated with hydrangeas that was simply magical to walk through. There are also several photo zones set up for capturing beautiful moments. Inside the festival, there is a small café and snack bar where you can enjoy drinks and snacks, and the nearby village has plenty of good restaurants. We tried "Suan Kalguksu," a noodle restaurant, and it was delicious. After enjoying a meal, we explored more of the festival and felt even more energized. There was also a "Hydrangea Workshop" where you could make crafts using hydrangeas, which was a lot of fun.
Suan Village Review
The Suan Village Hydrangea Festival exceeded my expectations. For someone who loves flowers like me, it was a dream come true. I had an amazing time taking photos with my friends against the colorful hydrangeas, participating in activities, and eating delicious food. If there was a downside, it would be that it was a bit difficult to enjoy quietly because of the crowd during the festival period. However, it was definitely worth visiting. I recommended it to my friends, and they all wanted to go too. I would love to visit again if I get the chance. The crafts we made at the Hydrangea Workshop became precious keepsakes. If you live in Gimhae, you should definitely check it out! My friends also enjoyed it, especially those who love flowers. Finally, I would definitely like to participate in the Deoksugung Palace night tour if I get the chance. Pros: beautiful hydrangeas and various activities; cons: the crowd and parking congestion. Overall, it was a very satisfying visit, and I definitely want to go again!
