Guide to Gimhae Park
Hello! I’m a woman in my 20s living in Gimhae. Recently, I decided to visit Gimhae Gaya Theme Park with some friends to explore and have a fun day out. I've always been fascinated by the history of the Gaya Confederacy, and this park seemed like the perfect place to immerse myself in that history while enjoying some modern attractions. The entrance fee is 10,000 KRW for adults, and the park is open from 9 AM to 6 PM. Gimhae Gaya Theme Park is located at 161 Gaya Theme Park-ro, Gimhae-si, Gyeongsangnam-do. There is ample parking available right at the entrance, so parking is very convenient. We parked our car without any hassle and headed straight into the park, excited for the day ahead.

As soon as we entered the park, the first thing that struck me was the lively and vibrant atmosphere. There were quite a few people, but it didn’t feel overwhelmingly crowded. The bathrooms were clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus. One of the major attractions that caught our eye was the Gaya History Village. Walking through the village felt like stepping back in time, with traditional Gaya-style houses and reenactments of historical scenes. Another highlight was the Gaya Culture Experience Hall, where we tried on traditional Gaya costumes and learned about their way of life. The park also has several beautiful photo zones, perfect for capturing memories. One of the best spots was near the large Gaya statue, which made for an impressive backdrop. Inside the park, there is a café that serves delicious coffee and snacks, and for a more substantial meal, we tried a nearby restaurant called "Gaya Kitchen," which offered a variety of traditional Korean dishes. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, making it a great spot to refuel before continuing our adventure in the park.

Overall, my visit to Gimhae Gaya Theme Park was truly enjoyable. I loved how the park seamlessly blended historical education with fun activities, making it a great place for both history buffs and casual visitors. One of the highlights of my visit was definitely the Gaya Culture Experience Hall, where dressing up in traditional attire was a unique and fun experience. On the downside, I felt that the park could benefit from having more shaded areas, especially on hot days. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend this park to both locals and tourists. My friends who joined me were equally impressed, and we all agreed that we’d love to come back, especially for the night lighting festival, which we’ve heard is absolutely stunning. In terms of likes, I appreciated the well-preserved historical elements and the interactive experiences. Dislikes were few, mainly the lack of shade and the occasional long lines at popular attractions. My overall evaluation is very positive, and I definitely plan to revisit soon. The feedback from people around me was similarly enthusiastic, with many expressing interest in visiting after hearing about my experience.
