Today, I'm excited to share my recent visit to the Miryang Twin Tunnel. This place is absolutely amazing! I stumbled upon it on Instagram and thought it looked beautiful, but seeing it in person exceeded all my expectations.
The Miryang Twin Tunnel is a tourist attraction created from abandoned tunnels in Sannae-myeon, Miryang City, South Gyeongsang Province. What used to be just a pass-through tunnel has been transformed into a stunning display of lights and media art. It's especially magical at night, and I was lucky enough to arrive at sunset, allowing me to experience both day and night views.
Stepping into a Mystical Tunnel Where Time Stands Still
As soon as I entered the tunnel, I felt like I'd stepped into another world. LED lights on the ceiling and walls twinkled, creating a fantastical atmosphere. The media art installations throughout the tunnel were particularly impressive. The combination of moving images and music made me feel like I was walking through a living art piece.
Inside the tunnel, there are various themed zones. There's a starlight tunnel reminiscent of the Milky Way, a vibrant rainbow tunnel, and even a mysterious zone. Each space has its unique charm, making the entire walk captivating. I took so many photos in the starlight tunnel - every angle was perfect for a memorable shot!
Capturing Insta-Worthy Moments: Photo Spot Recommendations
One of the Twin Tunnel's best features is its numerous photo spots. My favorite was the 'Heart Photo Zone,' where pictures taken in front of the heart-shaped structure turned out beautifully. It's perfect for group photos with friends!
There's also a 'Mirror Room,' which is truly fascinating. Surrounded by mirrors, it creates an illusion of infinite space. The photos I took here were absolutely dreamy and got tons of likes when I posted them on Instagram!
Another photo spot I'd recommend is the 'Garden of Light.' It's filled with LED flowers, making you feel like you've stepped into a fairy tale. The photos taken here are ethereal and beautiful. Don't miss it!
Exploring Local Cuisine
After exploring the Twin Tunnel, I was hungry and looked for nearby restaurants. About a 10-minute drive away, there's a street known for its local eateries. Here, you can try dishes made with jujubes, a Miryang specialty. I had jujube-marinated pork ribs, and the sweet jujube sauce complemented the pork perfectly - it was delicious!
After dinner, I stopped at a nearby café for a jujube latte, which was also fantastic. When you're in Miryang, be sure to try some jujube dishes. It's a unique flavor experience!
The Miryang Twin Tunnel is truly a charming place. With its beautiful lights, art installations, and various photo spots, it's ideal for a trip with friends or a date. If you're looking for a weekend getaway spot, definitely consider visiting. The atmosphere is even more fantastic at night.
