Introduction to Gyeongbokgung Palace
Hello everyone! I recently had the chance to visit Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul. I really wanted to go to Gyeongbokgung Palace because it is a wonderful place where you can experience Korean history and culture firsthand. Gyeongbokgung Palace is a representative palace of the Joseon Dynasty and is a place where you can get a glimpse of Koreas traditional architectural style and royal life. I visited because I wanted to travel to the glorious days of the Joseon Dynasty while seeing historical buildings and beautiful gardens. Also, my expectations were high because it is famous as a place where you can take great photos to post on Instagram. I want to share with you what I felt during my day at Gyeongbokgung Palace. Gyeongbokgung Palace is located in the center of Seoul, so it is very accessible. If you use the subway, you can find it right away by exit 5 of Gyeongbokgung Station on Line 3. There are various bus routes, so you can use them conveniently. For those who drive, there is a large parking lot near Gyeongbokgung Palace. There was plenty of parking space, so parking wasnt a big problem.
Gyeongbokgung Palace Tour
As soon as I entered Gyeongbokgung Palace, I couldnt help but be amazed by its grandeur. The interior of the palace is very spacious and the traditional Hanok architecture is well preserved, so it felt like I was in a time machine and returned to the Joseon Dynasty. Although there were many visitors, I was able to look around leisurely without feeling crowded at all. There were restrooms located throughout the place, so I was able to use them conveniently. Let me introduce you to some of the main attractions you must visit when you visit Gyeongbokgung Palace. The main attraction of Gyeongbokgung Palace is Geunjeongjeon. It is a place where official events and national ambassadors were held during the Joseon Dynasty, and its grand scale and ornate decorations are impressive. Another attraction inside Gyeongbokgung Palace is Gyeonghoeru. This is a beautiful pavilion in the middle of a pond, and the photos taken here are truly fantastic. To enter Gyeonghoeru, you must make a reservation in advance through the online site. I also like Hyangwonjeong. Hyangwonjeong in Gyeongbokgung Palace is a pavilion located on a small island. It is a great place to take pictures as it is surrounded by a quiet pond. There is no large restaurant inside Gyeongbokgung Palace, but there are various restaurants nearby. There are many places where you can taste traditional Korean food, so I recommend stopping by before or after your visit. I ate street food like tteokbokki and hotteok near Gyeongbokgung Palace, and it was really delicious!
Review of Gyeongbokgung Palace
My impression of visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace was truly fantastic. I was able to feel the history of the Joseon Dynasty firsthand amidst the beautiful buildings and quiet gardens. In particular, major attractions such as Geunjeongjeon and Gyeonghoeru made me admire their grandeur. Everyone around me also gave positive reviews about Gyeongbokgung Palace. Gyeongbokgung Palace was a magnificent and beautiful building, and it was interesting in that it had a quiet atmosphere and well-preserved historical relics. I was also satisfied with the convenient location and accessibility. Gyeongbokgung Palace had its advantages, but it also had its disadvantages. In Korea, Saturday and Sunday are weekends, and if you visit on the weekend, its crowded with a lot of people, so its complicated. If you are visiting for a trip, I recommend visiting on a weekday. If I can go to Gyeongbokgung Palace again, I want to visit again! There is a store nearby where you can rent hanbok, and it was even better because I could rent a traditional Korean hanbok at a low price and visit Gyeongbokgung Palace. I also took a lot of pretty pictures! Gyeongbokgung Palace is not a place you can see everything in one visit. I think you can discover new things every time. I also want to visit the restaurants around Gyeongbokgung Palace again. My friends who went with me were also very satisfied with Gyeongbokgung Palace. I think Gyeongbokgung Palace is an attractive place for both Koreans and foreigners. Gyeongbokgung Palace is a must-see attraction if you visit Seoul. You can take many beautiful photos in this place where you can feel the breath of history. And be sure to try the delicious street food nearby. I hope that your day at Gyeongbokgung Palace will be a good memory for you too.
